Barry University School of Law’s Environmental and Earth Law Program is hosting its annual Symposium on April 7-8, 2022. This year’s Symposium will focus on the Rights of Nature and be held in a hybrid format with one day occurring virtually and one day occurring in-person at Barry University School of Law in Orlando, Florida.
The purpose of this symposium is to further educate future and current legal advocates, as well as environmentalists, about the Rights of Nature on a global scale. We plan to feature practicing attorneys, skilled activists, and nature-based scientists to set the stage concerning what Rights of Nature is all about and where the movement is heading. There will also be an opportunity to network with experts and advocates from around the world.
For over fifteen years, Barry Law’s Center for Advanced Study of Environmental and Earth Law has led the way in Environmental and Earth Law Education. The Center’s academic programs are innovative and practical, designed to allow graduates to step into the legal world with broad vision and focused academic experience. Through the center, Barry offers students a comprehensive array of environmental programs including:
Center for Earth Jurisprudence
Student organizations including our Environmental and Animal Law Club
Our annual symposium brings together all the components of this comprehensive program to illustrate the legal possibilities developing in the area of Environmental and Earth Law.
