This month we will complete the pillar of WATER and begin to focus on solutions for cities and urban centers as it relates to "GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE".

Green infrastructure is an approach to water management that protects, restores, or mimics the natural water cycle. While single-purpose gray stormwater infrastructure—conventional piped drainage and water treatment systems—is designed to move urban stormwater away from the built environment, green infrastructure reduces and treats stormwater at its source while delivering environmental, social, and economic benefits.

Join us as we hear from guest speakers from BioTech Consulting and Geosyntec Consultants, and learn about green infrastructure solutions being implemented in cities around the country.

Speakers include:

Mike Hardin, Ph.D. - Mike Hardin is a water resources engineer for Geosyntec Consultants in Orlando, FL. He is going to talk about Green Stormwater Infrastructure and how it can be effectively used to decentralize the management and treatment of our precious water resources.

John Lesman - John is the Director of Bio-Tech Consulting and has more than 23 years of experience in environmental consulting. He will be talking to us about Florida's Uniform Mitigation Assessment Method and how it has led to the restoration of many of Florida's natural waterways.
