A Conversation with Ocean Activists Dianna Cohen and Shelby O’Neil

Taking action to eliminate plastic pollution and its toxic impact on our planet and lives.

A unique cross-generational conversation with Dianna Cohen, co-founder and CEO of the global non-profit, Plastic Pollution Coalition (PPC), and youth activist Shelby O’Neil who founded the Jr Ocean Guardians at 15 years old.

Dianna came to found PPC from a successful career as a visual artist using reclaimed plastic bags, realizing over time that the raw material for her art appeared to be disintegrating and a pollutant itself. A working artist, acclaimed TED speaker, as well as a passionate and relentless educator and crusader to change how we consume plastics in every aspect of our lives.

Shelby is a youthful force of nature and rising star in conservation activism, sharing responsibility for the ban of single-use plastic straws in California and successfully lobbying numerous major corporations to change their consumption patterns with plastic.

Join us for a conversation about:

--The state of plastic pollution today, the reality in our oceans, its impact on climate change, and the timely need to change the trajectory while we still can.

--What each of us as individuals, as citizens, as business owners and leaders can do to make a difference.
